Hearing Loss Injuries

 

Many railroad workers are or have been exposed to excessive noise levels over the course of their employment with the railroad. Over time, this exposure can result in hearing loss.

Compensation

Carmen, trainmen, transportation workers, engineers and machine operators are especially at risk for sustaining hearing loss injuries. Railroad workers in these crafts should be examined regularly by an audiologist (a hearing specialist) and have their hearing levels and working conditions monitored.
