John G. Harnishfeger

Biography

John G. Harnishfeger is a Senior Trial Attorney with the Moody Law Firm.  Mr. Harnishfeger is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia and actively litigates cases in all three local jurisdictions and across the country.  Mr. Harnishfeger has over 30 years of litigation experience and has tried numerous cases to verdict before juries and judges. 

Mr. Harnishfeger limits his practice to personal injury, medical malpractice, and sexual abuse litigation and only represents those individuals who have suffered devastating harm and loss due to negligence or substandard care.  Mr. Harnishfeger specializes in the representation of catastrophically injured persons and his practice has produced over 150 million dollars in recoveries for the benefit of his clients over the course of his career.  A substantial portion of Mr. Harnishfeger’s practice is dedicated to representing children who have suffered life altering harm and loss.  The responsibility of representing the interests of severely injured children is immense and provides Mr. Harnishfeger with relentless motivation to achieve the best possible case results.  It is the great honor of Mr. Harnishfeger’s career that numerous clients of his have enjoyed a vastly and permanently improved quality of life because of their respective case successes.  The opportunity to represent individuals whose fate in life has rendered them in dire need of assistance is as humbling as it is inspiring.  That inspiration is what drives Mr. Harnishfeger and his team every single day.  Mr. Harnishfeger is as grateful for every such opportunity as he is proud of the extraordinary effort that is put forth every day by the team of highly experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated legal assistants and paralegals at the Moody Law Firm who all take great pride in the case results achieved for the firm’s clients.

Mr. Harnishfeger has had long standing memberships with the D.C. Trial Lawyers Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.  Mr. Harnishfeger is a former Co-Chair of the D.C. Bar Association’s Tort Law Steering Committee and has been an invited speaker on multiple occasions to lecture on various litigation related topics to local trial lawyers’ organizations.
